Through experiments, they investigated how factors such as fuel thickness, oxygen supply, and different ignition sources influence fire behaviour. Students then applied this knowledge to real-world contexts, using Victorian bushfires as a case study to better understand the complexities and challenges of managing fire in our region—home to the most fire-prone state on the most fire-prone continent.
