The Melliodora Hall at the Steiner School was transformed the other night for the Harvest Bush Dance where guests took to the dance floor under the fabulous direction of local band Couchgrass.
“It was a fantastic night seeing the whole school community, right through the ages, dancing classic bush dances with family and friends,” said Class teacher Lou Pullar whose class co-ordinated the event.
It was also great to have help from the Year 10s who performed early as a warm up to the band and then helped in the kitchen as a fundraiser for their upcoming Slovenian trip. Guests enjoyed dinner first with a menu designed to draw from the school’s garden as possible. “We harvested tomatoes, capsicum, basil and parsley and cooked them together with last year’s garlic to make a delicious vegetable medley that we served on Adam and Ariel’s crepes.” “Fresh corn on the cob grilled on the BBQ was also a hit.”
