The Year 11 IB students are required to create a project that both serves a community need and provides a learning opportunity for the students. This year, they decided to host an event—the first Senior School Dance.

Event planning is never easy, and there is always more involved than initially anticipated, which made this night so special.

The high school band ‘Petrichor’ played, and a Year 9 student served as the DJ between sets. We are a small school in a relatively remote country town, which made this night all the more special. It was truly wonderful to see our students have the opportunity to dress up, dance, and fully enjoy themselves. Opportunities like this are rare!

Well done.
